New friend in International Coffee Partners

​In 2001 Löfbergs co-founded International Coffee Partners, where we together with a number of other family-owned coffee companies contribute to the development of small-scale coffee farmers. From 1 July, we welcome Delta from Portugal in the team. Delta, founded in 1961, is today Portugal's most famous coffee brand with 3,500 employees around the world.

The finalists for the Sustainable Leadership Award 2018 in Sweden were presented today. The coffee roaster Löfbergs’s CEO Lars Appelqvist is one of three final candidates. The award rewards a person that through competent leadership has contributed to successful sustainability work in its organization and/or society in general. Lars was also a finalist in 2013 and 2015.

Instruments that guide in the right direction are needed to create the prerequisites for better climate work in Europe. That is why Löfbergs together with 18 other companies have signed a letter to the Ministers of Energy in the European Union regarding updating and tightening the EU’s climate change strategy and targets.

Good coffee cannot be taken for granted as fewer and fewer young people see a future as coffee farmers. Löfbergs wants to change that. The family-owned coffee roaster presents a new coffee with beans from Ana-Maria and other young farmers in Antioquia in north-western Colombia, combined with carefully selected Arabica beans from Brazil.

In Canada, Löfbergs will launch three varieties of Swedish Fika: Medium Roast, Organic and Dark Roast.
