Löfbergs and Strawberry Extend Sustainable Coffee Partnership

The Swedish-based coffee roastery Löfbergs and Strawberry are extending their long-standing partnership. The new two-year agreement encompasses all of Strawberry's hotels across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

"Now we can continue to serve good and sustainably certified coffee to our guests. Since Löfbergs is at the forefront when it comes to sustainability, we can also continue to develop our sustainability work, which is incredibly important to us," says Kristian Vik, Category Manager Food & Beverages at Strawberry.

Long-standing partnership
Löfbergs has been a partner to Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice) for over 20 years, with a focus on sustainable business practices. The new agreement includes over 240 hotels across the Nordic countries.

"We are very happy and proud that the long-standing partnership with Strawberry continues. It shows that our focus on taste experiences, a wide range of services, and responsibility is appreciated by our customers," says Anders Fredriksson, CEO of Löfbergs.

Concrete sustainability results
An important part of the collaboration is to demonstrate the tangible effects of serving organic and Fairtrade-certified coffee. Löfbergs has developed a sustainability receipt that highlights what Strawberry's purchases contribute from an environmental and social perspective.

"By serving sustainably certified coffee, Strawberry and their guests contribute to coffee farmers increasing their income by 310,000 Euros per year. Additionally, they help convert an area equivalent to 460 football fields to organic production, without artificial fertilizers and pesticides," says Anders Fredriksson.

"With this, we show how partnerships can drive sustainable development, while our guests get to enjoy really good coffee," says Kristian Vik.

With over 240 hotels in the Nordic region, Strawberry offers a wide range of hotels, meeting, and conference facilities. The hotels are marketed under Comfort Hotel, Quality Hotel, Clarion Hotel, and Clarion Collection Hotel, as well as over 40 independent hotels.
