Löfbergs won the Bronze Award at SIAL Innovation 2019

Today the Swedish coffee roaster Löfbergs won a prestigious Bronze Award in the SIAL Innovation competition 2019 for its assortment of iced coffee. The prize was awarded at the SIAL Fair in Toronto. The fair is one of North America's largest fairs for the food industry with over 1,000 exhibitors and 18,000 professional visitors.

- Totally fantastic! This creates invaluable attention for us and our products here in Canada, says Jon Leirfall Fornes, country Manager for Löfbergs Canada.

In addition to the good taste, the jury highlighted that Löfbergs ICE coffee is made with completely natural ingredients and with both Organic and Fairtrade coffee. The fact that the cylindrical cardboard packaging is completely recyclable was also a positive.

Löfbergs established itself in Canada in 2017 and today sells both coffee and cold drinks in the Canadian market.

- We have received very positive feedback, both for our products and our sustainability work. We stand out because all of our coffee comes from certified Organic and Fairtrade farms. We have also developed new climate-smarter packaging. By replacing some of the fossil plastics with a plant-based alternative, the climate impact is reduced by about 30 per cent, says Jon Leirfall Fornes.
