Löfbergs received environment award
Löfbergs received the Environment Award of the Year at the Swedish Dagligvarugalan. The family-owned coffee roaster was awarded for its genuine and transparent sustainability work.
- It is great that we are getting this kind of attention in the business. We notice that the sustainability aspect is getting more important for traders and consumers in Sweden, Finland and other countries, where we are active, says Kent Pettersson, sales director at Löfbergs.
The statement of the jury: "The conditions for people as well as the environment have considerably improved through the genuine and transparent sustainability work that permeates the entire company."
Responsibility from bean to cup
Löfbergs's sustainability work is carried out under the motto Responsibility from bean to cup. A great
aim is that all coffee from Löfbergs will be certified by 2016. The company is already one of the world's largest importers of organic and Fairtrade labelled coffee.
Dagligvarugalan is arranged by Fri Köpenskap, Sweden's leading business journal for the retail trade.

The head office is situated in Karlstad, Sweden and the company has its own roasting-houses in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Latvia.
