Löfbergs is in the running for an international advertising award

Cresta Awards is an international advertising competition based in New York. For the first time, the Swedish coffee roaster Löfbergs is one of the finalists. The company has been nominated for its campaign "En god anledning att ses" (A good reason to get together).

- Just being one of the finalists in this prestigious competition is a huge thing and we already feel like winners, says Leif Sjöblom, marketing manager at Löfbergs.

The campaign was introduced in the autumn of 2012 and was Löfbergs's largest one ever. Löfbergs lent its advertising space to a number of different associations to help them attract new members. One of the participating associations was the Swedish trans association FPES (Full Personality Expression Sweden) in Malmö, something that resounded far beyond the Swedish borders.

- We wanted the campaign to do the same thing as our coffee does - encourage people to get together. We are now working on a follow-up that we are hoping will be just as successful, says Leif Sjöblom.

The Cresta Awards were launched in 1993. The 2013 winners will be announced on October 21.

Transsexuals make Sweden less lonely

Today, Sweden is ranked as the loneliest country in the world. This is something that the coffee roaster Löfbergs wants to change. That is why they lend their advertising space in their largest campaign ever to transsexuals, birdwatchers and people looking for the Great Lake monster - helping them recruit new members to their associations. More flourishing associations mean a less lonely Sweden.
