Löfbergs’ capsules increased most in 2013

The capsule segment continues to grow strongly in Sweden. Sales of coffee capsules increased with 64 % in the retail trade over the last year. Löfbergs grew most of all the large operators, up with 225 % according to recent figures from AC Nielsen (December 2013).

- We are naturally very pleased with these figures. They tell us that the consumers appreciate our tasty and wide assortment of fine-grind coffee, espresso, hot chocolate and tea, says Kent Pettersson, sales director at Löfbergs.

- Shortly, we will present a number of exciting new capsules that give us great expectations of continuous growth.

On the total coffee market, the capsules now have a value share of 4.3 % in retail trade according to AC Nielsen.
