Press release -

Swedish coffee at Finland's national arena

The agreement has been signed. Shortly, the audience at Finland's national arena, Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, will be drinking Swedish coffee from Löfbergs. For Löfbergs, this settlement is an important step in the progress of taking market shares outside of Sweden.

Löfbergs will now be the official coffee partner of Hartwall Arena. The arena is Finland's most well-known and by far the largest arena for concerts, ice hockey etc. with more than 1 million visitors every year. Almost as many cups of coffee are served yearly.

- We are very pleased to have found a dedicated partner that strengthens our offer. Löfbergs has a wide assortment and shares our passion of always providing our guests with a better experience, says Keijo Säilynoja, CEO at Helsinki Halli Oy, a company including both Hartwell Arena and the hockey team Jokerit.

- This is an important step to increase the knowledge in one of the largest and most important countries when it comes to coffee. So far, we are a challenger in Finland; but in the last year, we have been aggressive and able to enlarge our market share, says Leif Sjöblom, marketing manager at Löfbergs.

Finns are drinking more coffee than anyone
In average, the Finns are drinking most cups of coffee a day in the entire world. Even if the market is very similar to the one in Sweden, the preference in taste is slightly different. Traditionally, most Finnish people prefer lighter roasts, but more and more are demanding a more powerful taste, which Löfbergs now is bringing to the table.

- In the arena, you will be able to choose how you want your coffee, as many of the cafés will offer fine-grind coffee, espresso and capsule coffee. We will also completely profile two of the cafés with the Löfbergs brand. Common to all coffee in the arena is that it is both Fairtrade and KRAV labelled, says Leif Sjöblom.
