Rasta makes a coffee venture with the Swedish National Barista Team

Rasta is making a unique venture in coffee. Together with the Swedish National Barista Team and Löfbergs, a new concept is developed to be used at Rasta's service shops across Sweden.

- We know that many of our guests value a really good cup of coffee. Together with the Swedish National Barista Team and Löfbergs, we will be able to offer them something quite special, says Mikael Tervaniemi, head of operations at Rasta.

- Rasta has decided to serve the tastiest coffee along Swedish roads. We are thrilled to be a part of this journey, says Anna Nordström, speciality coffee manager at Löfbergs and one of the members of the Swedish National Barista Team.

Specially composed coffee menu
Rasta's guests will notice the coffee venture in several ways. On one hand, the shops' coffee corners will get a new image. On another, there will be a new coffee menu specially composed by the Swedish National Barista Team.

- We will offer a blend of speciality coffee that the Swedish National Barista Team and Löfbergs have chosen for us and our guests. The coffee is organic and Fairtrade labelled, says Mikael Tervaniemi.

- That is right. We use carefully selected beans from Peru to get a coffee with a full-bodied, smooth and somewhat fruity flavour. Rasta will be able to offer a coffee experience out of the ordinary, says Anna Nordström.

Rasta's service shops are a part of the 22 road facilities in Sweden and have about 8 million guests each year.

The Swedish National Barista Team consists of Nicolas Castagno, Anna Nordström, Oskar Garberg and Tobias Palm. The highly qualified team has been very successful, last year the team won Nordic Barista Cup in Oslo.
