Press release -
Martin's exclusive flavour favourites
Great flavour has been the centre of the business since 1906 when his great grandfather founded Löfbergs. Now, Martin Löfberg has travelled around the world and found his flavour favourites. They have been given the name Löfbergs Edge - an exclusive series of coffee, straight from four carefully selected cooperatives.
- This is a way of bringing out some of the competent craftsmen we work with as well as offering great coffee with a flavour that is something out of the ordinary, says Martin Löfbergs, Purchasing & Supply Manager at Löfbergs.
Löfbergs is one of the world's largest importers of organic and Fairtrade labelled coffee. All coffee in the Edge series is Fairtrade labelled; three of them are organic as well.
Long, close relationships
Löfbergs Edge consists of four different sorts of coffee from cooperatives in Brazil, Guatemala, Ethiopia and Uganda. Löfbergs purchases the hand picked coffee directly from the coffee farmers that the company has long and close relationships with.
- The cooperative COOPASV in south-east Brazil consists of 80 smaller coffee farmers that have united to improve the quality of their coffee. We use their beans to make really good coffee with a clear sweetness and a finish with hints of hazelnut, says Martin Löfberg.
Limited edition
Löfbergs Edge is available in a limited edition and is sold at the café Rosteriet in Karlstad, Sweden and in Löfberg's web shop. Every package contains 250 grams of whole beans.
