Löfbergs nominated for three awards at Dagligvarugalan

Many great contributions in the retail trade are rewarded at Dagligvarugalan in Sweden. Today, this year's finalists were presented. Löfbergs is nominated for no less than three awards, including the Environment Award of the Year.

- The sustainability issue is extremely important and permeates our entire business. It is fantastic that we are getting this kind of attention, says Kent Pettersson, sales director Retail at Löfbergs.

The environment award is presented to a company, a store, a chain of stores or a supplier that with commitment, consistency and a broad holistic approach pursues the environmental matters. In the criteria for the award, it is emphasized that the efforts should benefit stores as well as consumers.

- Being a finalist is a result of long-term and persistent work to help dealers increase their share of Fairtrade and eco-labelled products. It is also about elucidating the advantages with Krav, Fairtrade and other certifications as well as making it easy for the consumer to make the right choice, says Kent Pettersson.

- We are already one of the world's largest importers of organic and Fairtrade labelled coffee. By 2016, all our coffee will be certified.

The winner of the Environment Award of the Year is announced on September 12 at Dagligvarugalan in Stockholm. The gala is arranged by Fri Köpenskap, Sweden's leading business journal for the retail trade.

Löfbergs is also nominated for the Supplier of the Year award. Anders Beijar at Löfbergs is nominated for the award Space Manager of the Year.
