Press release -
Löfbergs moves to Stureplan, Stockholm
No, the “coffee scraper” will not leave Karlstad for Sergels torg. But there will be a new coffee roaster in Stockholm. Just in time for the Christmas trade, Löfbergs is opening its first flagship store with a micro roaster on Kungsgatan, within a stone's throw from Stureplan.
At the end of 2013, Löfbergs revealed its plans about roasting coffee in the centre of Stockholm. The company has searched high and low for suitable premises since then.
- We have found a great place with perfect location in the centre of the city. This will give us and all coffee-thirsting inhabitants of Stockholm a good opportunity to get to know each other even better, says Leif Sjöblom, marketing director at Löfbergs.
A coffee mecca of Värmland
Those who love coffee will be able to satisfy their needs in several ways at Löfbergs's flagship store. The heart will be a fully equipped and modern café with a touch of Värmland. There will also be a packed store offering Löfbergs's entire assortment. In the premises, Löfbergs will also arrange training and coffee tastings - and roast coffee of course.
- We will create a coffee mecca, where you can make, taste and learn more about coffee. We will naturally share all our knowledge and passion. Since we buy all our coffee directly from the producing countries we will share stories from our exciting encounters with coffee farmers from all over the world, says Leif Sjöblom.
A good reason to get together
Löfbergs was founded in 1906 and is one of the largest family-owned coffee roasters in the Nordic countries. The headquarters are located in Karlstad, Sweden, where the company also opened a café in 2011.
- Meeting the consumer face to face is important, fun and instructive. We want to and will be a good reason to get together, and this is where our new flagship store will play an important part, says Leif Sjöblom.
