Löfbergs awarded for its sustainability work

Löfbergs is the winner of Nordic Choice Hotels's Sustainability Award. The family-owned coffee roaster is awarded for its genuine and long-term sustainability work.

- Our suppliers are very important for us to be successful in our sustainability work; that is what we want to pay attention to with this award. Löfbergs really deserves this award and is a worthy winner, says Catherine Delhi, sustainability manager at Nordic Choice Hotels.

The jury's statement:

"Löfbergs has worked for a long time with sustainability and always puts ethics, social responsibility and environment first. There are few that work with sustainability as whole-heartedly and consistent as Löfbergs. The company strengthens us in our sustainability work and enables us to free up resources to focus on areas where the needs are greater."

In the last year, Löfbergs and Nordic Choice Hotels have strengthened their cooperation within the sustainability area. Besides serving organic and Fairtrade labelled coffee, the cooperation involves climate compensation and ethical projects in the producing countries.

Nordic Choice Hotels is one of the largest hotel groups in the Nordic countries with 175 hotels and 12,000 employees in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. The company markets the chains Comfort, Quality Hotels, Quality Resort, Clarion Collection and Clarion as well as 10 independent hotels. All hotels are environmentally certified according to ISO 14001.

Löfbergs has received several awards for its sustainability work, for example the award Excellent Sustainable Supplier from the Swedish Environmental Management Council and the Environmental Award of the Year at Dagligvarugalan.
