Kathrine Löfberg takes over the gavel

Kathrine Löfberg, 45, will be AB Anders Löfberg's new chairman of the board. As from January 1, 2015, she will succeed Anders Löfberg. Kathrine Löfberg has held leading positions in the company since 1999.

- My taking over is part of the change of generations - from third to fourth generation of the Löfberg family. It naturally is a great responsibility, and at the same time I look forward to work more strategically with our long-term development together with the board, the CEO and the management, says Kathrine Löfberg.

The coffee roaster Löfberg was founded in 1906 by Kathrine Löfberg's great-grandfather. The company is fully owned by the Löfbergs family and is today one of the largest roasters in the Nordic countries. The company has a turnover of SEK 1.5 billion with businesses in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, England, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

- For the last couple of years, we have grown both organically and through acquisition. Now we have to consolidate the organization at the same time as we focus on continuous profitable growth, says Kathrine Löfberg.

- We have to focus on good taste, quality, brands and sustainability issues, but also grow together with our international customers. Our strength is that we are established in several different markets. I believe that we have great opportunities to become the most respected coffee-roaster in northern Europe.

Kathrine Löfberg is 45 years old and has worked at Löfbergs since 1999, when she established the company in Norway. After that, she has worked as marketing director and communications director with a seat in the group's management team.

Kathrine Löfberg has studied economics at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles as well as communication and marketing at Berghs School of Communication. Between 1990 and 1997, she worked with FX and fixed income trading at Handelsbanken in Stockholm and Luxembourg. From 1997 to 1999, she was project manager at Icon Medialab.
