Press release -
Iced coffee - hotter than expected
Have you had iced coffee this summer? You are not the only one. The sales of iced coffee have been significantly better than expected for the coffee roaster Löfbergs - so good that there will be an increase in production.
- We launched Löfbergs ICE just before the summer, and the demand has been much greater than expected. It is partly about us hitting the right notes in taste as well as in design, and partly about new consumption patterns. But also that more people see iced coffee as an alternative to soda, mineral water and other cold beverages, says Kent Pettersson, Sales & Marketing Director at Löfbergs.
Continued growth
Iced coffee has grown with 20 per cent in Sweden in the past year, and the market is far from reaching its saturation point according to Kent Pettersson.
- We believe in continued growth, both for iced coffee and other coffee related beverages. It is time for us to be innovative and develop more new and exciting products, says Kent Pettersson.
Löfbergs ICE is a milk-based coffee drink and is available in two different flavours: Espresso and Latte Macchiato. It is made of natural ingredients and is organic as well as Fairtrade labelled. The cylindrical cardboard packaging is fully recyclable.
