Reclaimed coffee sacks
All companies have waste material that they don’t know what to do with. Swedish based coffee group Löfbergs teamed up with Stich N Stones and figured out that they can upcycle their coffee jute sacks into Coffee Sack Caps.
The caps are upcycled with waste material from coffee burlap bags. First the jute sacks are waxed with paraffin and beeswax, then the pieces are cut out by hand and sewn together. The caps are made by Emma and Anna from Stich N Stones in Åre, Sweden.
All in on circular transformation
For Löfbergs, the collaboration with Stich N Stones is yet another step to push the coffee industry into a more sustainable direction. Löfbergs is behind the ambitious initiative Circular Coffee Community with ambition to include as many stakeholders as possible both in and outside the industry to pursue the ultimate goal of zero waste by 2030.
